About the Role:

As an Engineering Intern at VIAVI Solutions, you will be working on software applications for the entire Test & Measurement portfolio of products. This role provides an opportunity to collaborate closely with hardware engineers, develop test applications for new products, and support existing products in the market.

Duties & Responsibilities:

• Develop test applications for new products in R&D.
• Maintain and support existing products in the market.
• Collaborate with hardware engineers to understand the product under test.
• Develop user interfaces to configure the instrument and interpret results.
• Create algorithms for calculations and data analysis.
• Write scripts to automate tasks.
• Troubleshoot issues reported by customers or identified during internal testing.
• Improve performance and memory usage of applications.
• Port applications to various operating systems like Windows, Linux, macOS.

Qualifications:

• Pursuing a B.E/B.Tech or equivalent degree in Electronics Engineering or related field.
• Good programming skills in C#, Python, Java, C++, or any other object-oriented language.
• Experience with JavaScript & Testing.
• Knowledge of scripting languages like Python, batch scripting, etc.
• Knowledge of databases like SQL Server, Oracle.
• Experience with developing Windows applications.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to communicate effectively with users and stakeholders.
• Quick learner and self-motivated.
• Previous experience with test equipment or electronics measurement instruments is desirable but not essential.
