About the Role:

EY’s TAX – GCR – ACR team is seeking an Assistant Manager to join their Chennai office. This role requires a strong background in accounting, particularly in India GAAP financial statements, TDS, GST, and ERP systems like Tally. The Assistant Manager will work with a team to provide tax and regulatory services to clients across various sectors.

Key Responsibilities:

• Strong accounting knowledge and preparation of India GAAP financial statements, with internal and external audit support.
• Manage a team of 3-4 people to handle month-end and year-end close procedures.
• Exposure to TDS, GST, including eTDS returns and data preparation for GST filing.
• Strong proficiency in ERP systems like Tally and Microsoft Excel (Sumif, VLOOKUP, pivot tables, etc.).
• Provide guidance and expertise on accounting, tax, and regulatory matters.
• Coordinate with other client departments while adhering to commercial and legal requirements.

Required Skills and Experience:

• Qualifications: CA/CMA (Fresher with good articleship experience or 1-2 years of post-qualification experience).
• Experience: 1-2 years in accounting, tax, and regulatory services.
• Skills:
  • Proficiency in TDS and GST.
  • Strong working knowledge of accounting concepts, principles, and India GAAP.
  • Experience with Tally ERP or similar ERP systems.
  • Advanced Excel skills.
  • Strong communication skills and a self-learner attitude.
